ORLANDO WEATHER
Orlando like most of Florida has a sub-tropical climate. This
means temperatures varying throughout the year typically between a low of 9° C
(48° F) in January, and a high of 33° C (92° F) in July. There are hours of sun
virtually every day all year round, which is why Florida is known as the
'Sunshine State'. Typical temperatures and rainfall per month are illustrated in
the table below.
A feature of the weather in Orlando can be relatively high levels of humidity.
This is typical of a sub-tropical climate, and is why air-conditioning is
everywhere in Florida... homes, shops, attractions, cars etc. Our villa does of
course have air conditioning throughout, and also a private swimming pool which
means that you can have a refreshing dip anytime you choose.
Along with all the heat and sunshine it does rain in Florida because it is
sub-tropical, not an arid or desert region. Most of the rain fall is by
thunderstorms concentrated in the four month period June to September, the rain
soon gives way to the heat and sunshine again, and it can be a relief on some of
the really hot days during those four months.
All in all, it mean that Orlando really is a genuine all year round holiday
